Open Ownership
NGO

Open Ownership seeks an experienced, short-term contractor, either an organisation or independent consultant, to conduct a review of currently available evidence on the economic costs and benefits to business, trade and investment of beneficial ownership transparency.
The purpose of the contract is to collate and synthesise evidence through a desk based review. This evidence includes reports from multilateral institutions, a small amount of primary research that exists on this topic, business cases published by countries such as the UK prior to their implementation of beneficial ownership transparency, as well as a number of case studies and anecdotal evidence pieces.
The output of the assignment will be a concise and clear briefing note for policy makers that synthesises existing evidence on the topic, highlights key points that can be used to support evidence based advocacy for beneficial ownership transparency, and identifies evidence gaps where further research may be needed.
